The Museum of the Lubusz Land in Zielona Góra belongs to the oldest museum facilities in Central Nadodrze. It was founded in the early 1920s and implemented the then fashionable idea of regionalism, striving to document the history of the homeland. It was created in 1945, when the City Museum was created based on the collections of the former Heimatmuseum. By the decision of the Minister of Culture and Art, on May 18, 1998, the Museum of the Lubusz Land in Zielona Góra was entered into the State Register of Museums. In addition to the exhibition activity, the Lubuska Region Museum also conducts extensive educational, scientific, research and publishing activities. Museum collections related to the region, as well as those of supra-regional origin derived from the time range from the Middle Ages to the present day. Over 17,000 exhibits have been collected. They include high-rank individual monuments, as well as extremely valuable collections presented at permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions. The institution's activity focuses on issues related to history and art. Permanent exhibitions are devoted to the history of the city from the Middle Ages to modern times. The facility particularly emphasizes the important role of building local identity. The museum also boasts great dynamics, organizing very rich and interesting temporary exhibitions. The Museum of the Lubusz Land is open on the following days and hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 11.00 - 17.00 Saturdays: 10.00 - 15.00 Sundays: 10.00 - 16.00 Ticket prices: -Normal: 6 PLN -Ulgum (children and school students, students, pensioners and pensioners): PLN 3 - Group (10 people and above): PLN 3 per person in the group
